Our Mission

We aim to deliver consistent and high-quality paintwork — with a customer-first approach — that’s on time and always done well no matter the project size.

Our Values

Integrity

We see our primary job as delivering results, so we are always honest and upfront with clients regarding project timelines and what’s going to work for a given project.

Commitment

We are committed to delivering high-quality work within the boundaries of what is reasonable.

Communication

We communicate cohesively as a team and with our clients. We are consistently looking to guide, direct, communicate, and problem-solve together throughout a project.

Our Founding Story

Red Reddington knew that he wanted a trade to fall back on, having grown up seeing his father work in construction. However, Red couldn’t have predicted that his trade of choice — painting — would become his livelihood. To Red, painting is an art form, having learned the ins and outs of the trade in the UK, from the history of paints to color theory to decorating. So, after having apprenticed and received a certificate from the City and Guilds of London, Red decided it was time to start a new chapter across the pond.

Red came to the US in 1985 because he wanted more for his life, and life in America only accelerated his learning. Used to making his own batches of paint in the UK — developing patience for the process — Red learned brand new processes in the US. Instead of doing everything himself, he learned about spraying, which was faster and more efficient. These new skills, combined with his ability to problem solve, helped Red stand out. He got a job as a journeyman painter and worked on significant hotel projects throughout Los Angeles.

After some time, Red was ready for another change. He could either stay with the union he was with, which could guarantee financial security for the foreseeable future or make the leap to start his own business. He chose the latter. He got his general contractor’s license and started working for himself as Red’s Painting and has been doing so for over 20 years. From small projects to big projects to custom projects, Red always approaches his work with professionalism and an eye for design.

“Not only is Red a master craftsman, but he is an artist who brings a tremendous level of enthusiasm, responsibility, and integrity to his work. Miles van der Rohe once stated, ‘God is in the details.’ If that is so, then Red deserves sainthood because the work he provided for us was absolutely miraculous.”
